Well, at least he does in a recent Madden 09 simulated season, which ranked the following players as leading the league in fantasy points for the upcoming season:
25. Reggie Wayne, WR, IND
24. Willis McGahee, RB, BAL
23. Thomas Jones, RB, NYJ
22. Chad Johnson, WR, CIN
21. Jamal Lewis, RB, CLE
20. Adrian Peterson, RB, MIN
19. Torry Holt, WR, STL
18. Brandon Jacobs, RB, NYG
17. Frank Gore, RB, SF
16. Matt Hasselbeck, QB, SEA
15. Tarvaris Jackson, QB, MIN
14. Vince Young, QB, TEN
13. Hines Ward, WR, PIT
12. Marion Barber, RB, DAL
11. Tatum Bell, RB, DET
10. Ronnie Brown, RB, MIA
9. Donovan McNabb, QB, PHI
8. Tom Brady, QB, NE
7. Jeff Garcia, QB, TB
6. Jay Cutler, QB, DEN
5. Alex Smith, QB, SF
4. Marc Bulger, QB, STL
3. Peyton Manning, QB, IND
2. LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, SD
1. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT
So there you have it, feel free to draft your fantasy team accordingly (note: sarcasm). Can you really take any top fantasy player list that has the names Tatum Bell and Tarvaris Jackson on them seriously? I can’t. But it’s still fun.

Wow. Maybe I should pick up a copy of the new Madden. I had no idea they left out the realism engine this time around.

How’s the old saying go…”On any given Sunday anything can happen”? I guess they took that to an extreme with this version of Madden.
