Sunday Wrap-up: T.O. vs Moss
Let me just put the stats out there first...then we can do a little analyzing:
Terrell Owens (WR-DAL): 8 receptions, 173 receiving yards, 4 TD
Randy Moss (WR-NE): 10 receptions, 128 receiving yards, 4 TD
The two combined for over 300 yards and 8 TD. That's more fantasy points than the entire Ravens offense was able to compile through the first 10 weeks of the season (half joking, half serious)! These two guys (or their two quarterbacks), could have single handedly put you back in the playoff hunt...or could have knocked you out of the running (depending on which side of the matchup they were on). In terms of fantasy points, T.O. scored a little more than Moss, as the 45 extra yards helped. However, if you watched the games, you realized that Randy Moss scored all of his touchdowns in the first half of the game, and if Brady/Belichick/Moss wanted to, he could have had around 8 touchdowns.
On another note, I have a feeling that in next year's fantasy draft, NOT taking Tom Brady with the first overall pick is going to prove to be a very tough decision to make for some managers. Who else would you take? Adrian Peterson? LaDainian Tomlinson? Joseph Addai? Brian Westbrook? Just wanted to throw that idea out there before I go into a wrap up of some of the top performers of the week...
Tom Brady (QB-NE): 373 passing yards, 5 TD
...and only played three quarters of the game.
Tony Romo (QB-DAL): 293 passing yards, 4 TD, 1 INT
Without T.O., stats would look pretty bad.
Matt Schaub (QB-HOU): 293 passing yards, 2 TD
Glad to have Andre Johnson back it appears
Brett Favre (QB-GB): 218 passing yards, 3 TD
If you forget Brady, Favre could be the top QB in the NFL this year.
D.J. Hackett (WR-SEA): 9 receptions, 136 receiving yards, 1 TD
Even with Branch back, Hackett was stellar.
Santana Moss (WR-WAS): 9 receptions, 121 receiving yards, 1 TD
Drew Carter (WR-CAR): 5 receptions, 132 receiving yards, 1 TD
Is Carter the new Steve Smith? No.
Andre Johnson (WR-HOU): 6 receptions, 120 receiving yards, 1 TD
Imagine if this guy wasn't hurt the last 9 weeks?!
Devard Darling (WR-BAL): 4 receptions, 107 receiving yards, 1 TD
Who?
Donald Lee (TE-GB): 5 receptions, 49 receiving yards, 2 TD
Chester Taylor (RB-MIN): 164 rushing yards, 3 TD (plus 3 receptions, 38 receiving yards, 1 fumble)
Adrian Who? Was that Peterson wearing a Chester Taylor costume?
LaDainian Tomlinson (RB-SD): 62 rushing yards, 1 TD (plus 5 receptions, 93 receiving yards)
Good stats for most, not that special for LT.
Earnest Graham (RB-TB): 102 rushing yards, 1 TD (plus 1 reception, 6 receiving yards)
Quite a surprise this season.
Brian Westbrook (RB-PHI): 148 rushing yards
Cedric Benson (RB-CHI): 89 rushing yards, 1 TD
Great stats for Benson, even if most of these stats were on one carry...
Sebastian Janikowski (K-OAK): 5 field goals, with distances: 30, 42, 42, 49, 52 (21 fantasy points!)

Would have been 5 for Moss in the first half if a Bills defender didn't get a pinky on it...

I'm not saying this from a Pats fan point of view, but wouldn't it be great just to see the Patriots show absolutely zero mercy one time this season? Enough of this "taking it easy" after reaching the 50+ point. I want to see Tom Brady throw for 600 yards and 8 TD's. Is that too much to ask for? Maybe they'll do it when the play the Jets or Dolphins soon...I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Randy Moss for Westbrook? Should I take him?

@KT: Heck no...keep Westbrook. Moss had one good game...they'll be far and few between with Cassell at QB.
