How many times have you started a quarterback against a team with an atrocious secondary, only to see him put up minimal fantasy numbers because a snow storm came to town? While it’s probably not the only site out there that does it, Weather.com provides a game day weather forecast that can be pretty useful when considering which players to start and bench for a given week and hopefully can help prevent this situation from happening.
As we’re currently in the middle of the fantasy football playoffs, if your team is still fighting for that championship, you know there is extra importance on picking the right players to plug into your lineup. If you had used this site yesterday, you may have realized that the weather in Chicago was cold and windy…not the best conditions for quarterbacks (see: Kyle Orton), but decent conditions to run the ball (see: Pierre Thomas) in. From the looks of things, the weather shouldn’t be too much of a factor in the Sunday games this week, but keep this site in mind in the future when you have a tough decision to make in terms of your fantasy lineup.

Take a look at the weather for the San Diego-Kansas City game. It has Winds gusting at 19 mph
The passing/kicking game is going to have serious troubles with 19mph winds. I’m worried because I’m starting Rivers and Tony G.

@Rushi: Yeah that could affect the passing game a bit, but those are two guys you’re not going to bench just because of a little wind, unless you have someone really good to replace them with.

I didn’t bench Rivers and Tony G – they got me 27.5 and 13 pts respectively.
Although I did bench Bowe (didn’t want to put all my eggs in one basket). I played Jonathan Stewart instead and that helped

I had heard about that site Rick, but never visited it. Looks pretty good though, thanks for the link.
