Looks like Quinton Ganther will get first crack at a bad Raiders run defense on Sunday, with Rock Cartwright being demoted to backup status. At this point Ganther makes a decent flex play and possibly RB2 if you’re really struggling, but I’m a little worried that it will end up being a time-share in the Washington backfield when push comes to shove.

The Redskins O-line is looking pretty shaky. If the MRI on Stephon Heyer’s knee hadn’t come back with “encouraging” news, you’d already be seeing editorials with titles like “Redskins Season on the Brink.” Their options at right tackle are extremely limited if Heyer goes down for any extended period of time. They’d likely use Mike Williams, who hasn’t played since 2005.
Yikes. Something to seriously consider when you’re thinking about where to draft any Redskins player.

Just when the Vick-to-Washington rumors were heating up, GM Vinny Cerrato cools them right back down. Not to say it couldn’t happen, but seems less likely now.
