The Wire: Waiver Wire pickups for week 7, 2008

Here's a look at the players to target on your league's waiver wire this week. This list is ordered by the percentage of ESPN leagues in which the player is available; even if you're not a ESPN user, it's a decent indication of how likely you are to find the player on waivers in your league. We also note here how strongly we feel about this pickup with three categories: Instant Starter, Grab 'n' Stash, or Desperation Pickup.

Have injuries or piss-poor performance left you decimated and desperate at a position? Don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us (thanks to injuries to the WR1 and WR3 I drafted, my starting wideouts in my keeper league last week were Dwayne Bowe, Robert Meachem, and Ted Ginn, Jr... *shudder*).

    • frank m: I'm playing at ESPN. I'm also doing weekly tournaments at www.papersports.com.
    • ffexchange: I've done my own for a while where we set a lineup each week and you can play anyone, but can only play them once. One third fantasy, one third survivor style pool, and one third guessing the games. Its not the same as the real thing, but going cold turkey isn't easy.
