Here is the fantasy football “Team of the Week” for week eleven, listing the players that scored the most points (using standard scoring) over the course of Sunday’s games. While last weekend’s Team of the Week featured the regulars (Brady, Chris Johnson, Peterson, Randy Moss, etc), this weekend featured some of the most unlikely performances of the season. You know the fantasy world has been turned on its head when the first name you read on this list is Matthew Stafford! Anyways, let’s get to the list…a list which contains players that were possibly on A) someone’s bench or B) free agency…

*sigh* – I should have started Smith over McCoy. Cost me the win.

Yeah, tough one there. Hard to predict Smith would have over 100 yards receiving (and a touchdown!) On the ground, it tied for his third worst rushing performance of the season.

Didn’t realize until now that McCoy still had 99 yards and a score (but a fumble too.) Hard to complain too much about that performance from your RB2.

No complaints except our league awards bonuses for exceeding 100 yards Ru. or Re… The other play that cost me was the Bengals DEF v. Chargers DEF.

All hail Wes Welker in PPR formats!
Nailed my salary cap team this week with Ricky Williams, Mendenhal, S. Rice, V. Davis, and Cundiff with AJ and Schaub yet to play.

I don’t think there’s any question now: The “problem with Brady” early in the season was simply the lack of Wes Welker’s services.

Oh and Ladell Betts, I hate you. Hello Rock Cartwright, the only decent remaining healthy RB on Washington’s team! I swear if he gets injured and Quinton Ganther plays the rest of the game next week I’m never playing another Redskin player in fantasy for the rest of my life!

I’m putting in a claim for Rock Cartwright just because his name is completely awesome. Rock. Cartwright.
Brandon 7:24 pm on 11/23/2009 Permalink
If that were true, you would have obviously put in a waiver claim for Larod Stephens-Howling back in week eight when he had his first career touchdown…because his name is the most awesome.

And Chris Johson, Matt Schaub and AJ have yet to play

A PPR league I’m in, I still have Chris Johnson to play and my opponent has Nate Washington. I’m already ahead by about 30 points. I should be all right.

In case you were wondering, the most likely situation in tonight’s game is Chris Johnson hurting himself on the first running play, fumbling the ball, then Matt Schaub throwing for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns. At least that’s what I need to happen for me to win in one of my leagues!
