Patriots vs. Colts can't come soon enough!
Am I the only one getting sick of the following things?
- Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning: Who's the best quarterback?
- Commentators making a reference to the Colts being disrespected because "everyone else" assumes the Patriots are a far superior team (I'm pretty sure I've heard every sports anchor on every sports show, as well as at least one writer from every major sports website state this at least once)
- Any reference to the Patriots playing teams with losing records and a combined record of 17-28. Is it their fault? Last year, playing the Chargers, Bengals and Cowboys in the first six weeks would have been seen as a lethal schedule.
Anyways, as a Patriots fan, I am just hoping that both teams make it past this weekend unscathed, so that the "better" team can show itself on the field...instead of the minds of commentators who think they speak the gospel. And don't even get me started with Mr. Easterbrook's latest TMQ article on ESPN.com. Colts as "Good" and the Patriots as "Evil"? Give me a break...what does that make the Bengals then?

that TMQ article made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. This guy writes shit like that and wonders why the pats have a grudge against everybody. They will beat the colts by atleast their average 20 somethin points a game.

The article forgot to mention Brady's newest attempt at an NFL record...Henry's already got the record for most Illegitimate children for a running back...but I think Brady's making an attempt at the QB division. Time will tell I suppose.

I just got this company email from one of the Coordinating Producers at ESPN and it really just shows how out of touch ESPN is becoming:
"Beginning Sunday night, October 28th (if the Patriots and Colts win that day), Studio Production will begin branding its week long coverage of the upcoming Patriots vs. Colts match up on November 4th, "Superpower Showdown."
GET READY FOR THE SHOWDOWN!!!!!

I think they should just put Brady and Manning in the Octagon and let them settle this once and for all.

I wonder if there are people that, every time a comparison between Manning and Brady comes on TV, they're like "Oooohhh...finally a comparison between the two. This will make up my mind for good who the better guy is. I've been wondering about this forever"? I'm pretty sure 90% of the population goes..."Ugh, who gives a crap? Let's see some (Red Sox dominating the Rockies in Game 1) highlights!"

The thing that gets me is for YEARS the Patriots were winning championships and all the talk was on the Colts. How many times were the Patriots reigning champs to have the Colts be favored in a matchup? It's completely absurd for anyone who has watched the NFL for the last six years to complain about the Colts being disrespected. If anything, the mere mention of Colts being disrespected is in fact disrespect to the Patriots.
Like how I spin that?
