Does anyone else out there hate these Thursday night football games? I have Panthers receiver Steve Smith in one of my leagues and all I can picture happening is that he has a lousy game tonight and I depress about it for the next three days. However, with Steelers rookie receiver Mike Wallace as my only other option, it appears that I’m going to have to stick with Smith and hope for the best. Of course, if he does well I’ll have a nice head-start going into Sunday’s games, but I’d still prefer all my players play on Sunday (or Monday)…not Thursday.

You’re really not missing all that much, considering the awesome non-HD broadcast they provide and the stellar games the NFL pawns off on them…but at least it’s something to watch after The Office and 30 Rock.

I get em in HD by me. Not sure what kind of tv package your on…cable, satelite, etc I’m on FIOS and the NFL channel is included in the HD channels.
Anyways, Smith has been picking it up recently and the Fins have given a number of recievers good days, so I wouldn’t be too worried about it.

I’m on Comcast, but maybe I just didn’t look hard enough for their HD channel. Either way, maybe it’s better, as I didn’t need to see Jay Cutler screwing over my fantasy team last week in high-definition!

The game was almost entirely played on the NFL.com site. They have a live viewing show for the Thursday games.

I am paranoid about Smith too and my opponent has Ricky Williams. This week could be over for me before any of the Sunday games.

Mighty Mouse owners, let’s keep our heads up! He’s starting to put together some solid games and the Dolphins pass defense is “fishy”. With DAW and Stewart battling injuries, it can only mean good things for MM.

Who is mighty mouse? I remember calling MJD that, who are you talking about? Mushin Muhhammed? Matt Moore?

Anyway, don’t get too excited about Carolina’s passing game yet. They apply the injury tag to their RBs quite liberally. They’re becoming the Patriots. Either wya, DeAngelo looked good last night to me!

Mighty Mouse is Steve Smith (CAR). He’s actually carried this nickname for a few years now.

Oh OK. I do remember that nickname now. It’s been awhile since I heard it referring to Steve Smith. You’re right though, he was the originator.
I thought you were using the MM at the end to represent initials and got confused!

THUR Dilemna I have S Smith and Stewart going tonite. I was planning on playing D Jax as my other WR and Megatron at flex. Just read Benson will not play and I could put B Scott or Forsett in non ppr HELP

I like Bernard Scott this week, but I’m not sure he’s all that great an upgrade over DeSean Jackson and Calvin Johnson. Stick with the guys you have, although it would have been nice to play Scott instead of Jonathan Stewart. There is talk that Larry Johnson could actually get some playing time this weekend, which makes me a bit nervous for Scott.

Did I say I hated Thursday night games? I obviously said I loved them…at least after Steve Smith’s big game and because I’m not playing Ricky Williams in any of my leagues!
