And by Fantasy Game of the Week we obviously meant CIN @ CLE?

As I'm watching the Colts play a pretty tight game against the Titans down here in Puerto Rico, I'm seeing updates flash across the bottom of the screen for the other games. At first I don't make much of the Cincinnati at Cleveland game, which ended the first quarter at 7-6, Cincinnati's advantage. However, having a few players on my fantasy teams in that game (Housh, Rudi-J and Kellen Winslow) and a few on opponents teams (Palmer, Chad-Jo, Housh and Jamal Lewis), I started paying a little more attention...

7-13 Cleveland
14-13 Cincinnati
14-20 Cleveland

At this point I start realizing that this might be a much more interesting game than I had expected. I had figured Cincinnati would stomp Cleveland and picked Cincinnati in my Survival league based on this prediction...

21-20 Cincinnati
21-27 Cleveland
Halftime.

I'm pretty excited to see my boy Rudi Johnson has a touchdown at this point, as does Housh and Kellen Winslow. How much better could it get?

24-27 Cleveland
24-34 Cleveland
31-34 Cleveland

Ocho Cinco has just caught his second touchdown of the game, something I'm not too happy about, but it looks like Cincinnati is mounting a comeback, so I won't get eliminated in Week 2 of the Survival league.

31-41 Cleveland
38-41 Cleveland
38-48 Cleveland

At this point, the stats are just getting crazy. Both quarterbacks believe they're better than Peyton Manning. Chad Johnson and Jamal Lewis are assuming their Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders masks.

38-51 Cleveland
45-51 Cleveland
Game over.

So there's your final score: Cleveland 51, Cincinnati 45. It is the second highest scoring game in NFL history. Derek Anderson has put the Brady Quinn demons to rest for a week or two, based on his five touchdown performance. Jamal Lewis made a run at his own single game rushing record. Chad Johnson made a run at the single game receiving record. And yours truly was eliminated from his Survival league. Congratulations Cleveland! Just to make you scratch your head, here's a few statistics from the game:

Carson Palmer (QB-CIN): 401 pass yards, 6 TDs, 2 INTs
Derek Anderson (QB-CLE): 328 pass yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT

Jamal Lewis (RB-CLE): 215 rush yards, 1 TD, 1 Fumble
Rudi Johnson (RB-CIN): 118 rush yards, 33 rec yards, 1 TD, 2 Fumbles

Chad Johnson (WR-CIN): 209 rec yards, 2 TDs
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (WR-CIN): 69 rec yards, 2 TDs
Braylon Edwards (WR-CLE): 146 rec yards, 2 TDs
Kellen Winslow (TE-CLE): 100 rec yards, 1 TD
Joe Jurevicius (WR-CLE): 44 rec yards, 2 TDs

You could have won your league this week having only players off these two teams. Although they definitely helped your squad this week, it's hard to project these stats onto any future games. Neither defense decided to suit up this week, something that very rarely happens in the NFL. So go smoke your victory cigar...or drink your sorrows away. Either way, this game will definitely have an impact on fantasy football games across the world this week...and you'll probably never see a game like this again all year long.

the good, and the bad. This game WAS my fantasy week. Unfortunately our league only has 7 teams so each week someone is on a bye. This week was my bye. I started Palmer and C.Johnson. We get bonuses when QBs hit 300,350,400 yards and when W/R get 100,150,200 yards. so they scored me about 65 points each. What a waste!! good thing my league has "side bets" on who has the highest weekly score on bye week. This performance could be good for $35 :P

lets hope for another similar performance from the cinci-crimesquad.

I had Jamal Lewis benched this week, of friggin course, but I don't even care because now it seems that the preseason murmurs that Lewis looked good again weren't just made up. I'm looking forward to planting him in my flex spot from now on.

And looking forward to him sucking as the Browns descend into the abyss for the rest of the season?
