Throughout most of his NFL career, I wouldn’t have cared a whole lot whether Reggie Bush played or not. However, now that I actually have him on my best fantasy football squad AND because he’s actually putting up decent numbers these days, I’m very nervous about the thought of him not occupying the W/R spot on my roster this weekend. It’s looking more and more like it’s heading that way too, with Reggie nursing a knee bruise. Not helping the situation is the fact that the Saints are undefeated and have no need to risk injuring one of their most dynamic players any further. Keep an eye on this situation until he’s ruled out for sure, but with such an enticing match-up against Tampa Bay, I won’t be happy if he takes the week off.

Does that mean Bell becomes a decent option, or do you think PT still sees the majority of carries? (have Bell on my Bench)

I still think the PT Cruiser sees the bulk of the carries. Mike Bell and Reggie Bush are very different in their skill sets and the fact that Bush is out just means other receivers will see the ball more often…not necessarily that Mike Bell will. It all depends on your other options though.

As a pt owner, I won’t be happy if he takes off… I’ll be ecstatic!

Bush is now officially out for the game. He didn’t get on the plane with the rest of the team.

Tight ends, I think I’m going with Celek over Shockey this week, Good Idea? I have to pick up another RB, Options are Shonn Greene, Donald Brown or a couple others, but I don’t know who, most of them 2nd backs to the starters, any suggestions? thanks Jason

Stick with the hot hand and go with Celek. He’s got three touchdowns in three weeks and has a good chance at a fourth this week. As for your running back options, I’m not high on Shonn Greene, who hasn’t done anything since his huge week seven game. Brown hasn’t done much of anything either with all his injuries and the fact that Addai still gets the bulk of the carries. None of the big pick-ups this week are available (Bernard Scott, Jason Snelling, Justin Forsett?)

Here’s to hoping that Mike Wallace holds down the flex spot for me in Reggie’s absence!
