Looks like Quinton Ganther will get first crack at a bad Raiders run defense on Sunday, with Rock Cartwright being demoted to backup status. At this point Ganther makes a decent flex play and possibly RB2 if you’re really struggling, but I’m a little worried that it will end up being a time-share in the Washington backfield when push comes to shove.

Brandon, Matt, anyone…! I need your help! I somehow managed to make the playoffs in my league and I need some sit/start advice for quarterfinals! If you would be so kind as to choose 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, a flex and a defense from the following I will greatly be indebted to you! Also, is Dwayne Bowe worth keeping for week 15 against the Browns?
[Alex Smith, Campbell, Young, Fitzpatrick, Henne]
[Miles Austin, Carolina Smith, Maclin, Chambers]
[MJD, McCoy, Ganther, KSmith, Norwood, Moats]
[Philadelphia, Green Bay, Miami, Oakland, Washington]
You guys are the hidden gem of fantasy football news and advice! Maybe an iphone app launch in the future?

Have to make this quick – hopefully Brandon can get to your lineup questions but on your two other ?’s…
- On Bowe – I think he’s going to be worth a start as a WR2 in week 15, though I’ll hold off on saying so for sure until we see him in practice next week.

QB – Alex Smith
WR – Miles Austin, Steve Smith (CAR)
RB – Maurice Jones-Drew, Qunton Ganther (roll the dice!)
DEF – Green Bay (Cutler will most likely throw a few interceptions)
Brandon 5:02 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink
and Jeremy Maclin as your flex.

Thanks for getting me into the playoffs!
Here’s my team:
Philip Rivers
Mike Sims-Walker
MJD
Robert Meachem
I need need one more (flex) player from the following.
Chris Brown, Cadillac Williams, Laurence Maroney, Devin Hester, Chester Taylor Devin Thomas, Quinton Ganther
Brandon 5:03 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink |
It’s tough to not start Quinton Ganther against the Raiders, but I’d go with Laurence Maroney here, who should get plenty of chances against a Panthers defense that is pretty bad against the run.

Hey there Brandon good luck this week. I’m trying to figure out if I should start
Peyton Manning or Ben Roethlisberger
Santonio Holmes or Kenny Britt
Please help. Thanx.
Brandon 5:05 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink |
I wouldn’t put all your eggs in the Steelers basket…especially with the game being tonight (so you’ll have to live with three days of regret if they end up sucking.) Go with Manning (in possibly his last meaningful game of the regular season) and Santonio Holmes.

Hey guys. So i have two questions for you this week. 1) Jermichael Finley or Greg Olsen and 2) Vincent Jackson or Robert Meachem
Brandon 5:08 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink |
Finley and Meachem. Who are the other receivers that you’re playing in order to bench V-Jax?
Lax 5:54 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink
Welker and Moss
Rob 4:31 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink |
should i go with the saints D or the steelers D this week?????
Brandon 5:07 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink |
Are those your only options? None of the guys off my Defenses to Consider list? If they are your only choices, I guess you should go with the Steelers and hope they can step their game up tonight.
Rob 5:13 pm on 12/10/2009 Permalink
yeah those are my only options…i have other guys on my bench i need to keep….im thinking the steelers will benefit from the weather

I appreciate the help Brandon. I ended up getting just a little over 9 points from Santonio Holems. Got another question for this week end whats your opinion on these 2
Kenny Britt or Brandon Marshall? I know Young is hurt.
Brandon 8:13 am on 12/11/2009 Permalink |
Looks like we made the right call with benching Big Ben and starting Holmes (although it would have been nice if he got a touchdown.) I started Mike Wallace in one of my leagues…FAIL.
As for Britt or Marshall, definitely go with Marshall. I don’t trust Vince Young and Kenny Britt enough yet and Young is having some injury issues in practice this week. Marshall is legit…get him in your line-up.

Hey guys I have gore and ap but just picked up ganther bc of gores tough matchup and due to the fact that the 49ers are starting to pass the ball more. Should I bench gore and go with ganther on this one?
Brandon 5:44 pm on 12/12/2009 Permalink |
I’d like to tell you to go out on the limb with Ganther, but without any real track record at all, it’s tough to bench a seasoned veteran who is the unquestioned starter on his team. Stick with Gore and hope the bad Cardinals run defense is out there tomorrow (weeks 8, 10, 12) and not the awesome defense (weeks 2, 6, 9, 13.)

Brandon,
Looking for a little help decoiding on my last flex position. Here is my WRand RB line up:
Andre Johnson
Reggie Wayne
Wes Welker
Ray Rice
Joseph Addai
And with my last spot I am trying to decide between Robert Meachem or Quinton Ganther. Meachem is hot but Brees has so many options, he could easily be overlooked. Ganther is a question mark but his matchup is great and should get at least 15 touches.
Thoughts?
Brandon 5:40 pm on 12/12/2009 Permalink |
You have to stick with Meachem. He’s been a touchdown machine for over a month now and there is no reason why the fun has to stop if he’s one of Brees’ favorite targets in the redzone. Ganther is still a question mark as to how effective he’ll actually be.
Tony 6:47 am on 12/12/2009 Permalink |
Brandon and/or Matt,
Terribly hard decision on final running back spot: Forte, Ganther, K. Smith, or Forsett?
Thoughs?
Brandon 5:38 pm on 12/12/2009 Permalink |
Roll the dice with Ganther!
Tony 4:55 am on 12/13/2009 Permalink
Will do – thank you sir
DFonz 11:34 am on 12/13/2009 Permalink |
Whats you take on these two?
Oak – Quinton Ganther vs Oakland or
NE – Lawrance Maroney vs Carolina
both have good match up’s thats why I’m biting my nails. By the way good luck in you play offs.
Brandon 11:45 am on 12/13/2009 Permalink |
Go with Maroney, he’s more of a sure thing. Ganther is a wild card at this point.
DFonz 11:53 am on 12/13/2009 Permalink
Thanks Brandon, I was leaning towards Maroney. I just needed a little push, again good luck.
henry 12:40 pm on 12/13/2009 Permalink |
Im starting Colston and Fitzgerald at wr and Rice (already played mendenhal) at rb. should i play ganther or austin at my flex? or should i play austin for colston?
thanks!
Brandon 3:32 pm on 12/16/2009 Permalink |
Sorry we didn’t get to this one Henry, but hopefully you ended up winning!
Andy 1:40 pm on 12/16/2009 Permalink |
I’m in a pickle, I have Addai and I know that he may get rested so I picked up Ganther yesterday. Which one should I start. Ganther is actually projected to have a better week but I’m concerned about him not getting many touches and Addai is always very reliable and consistent but I don’t want to play him if he’s only going to play one half of football.
Brandon 3:31 pm on 12/16/2009 Permalink |
I’d stick with Quinton Ganther. Who knows how much action Addai will see. Usually he would be able to rack up yardage once the team has built up a lead through the passing game, but that might be the exact time that the starters head to the bench. Ganther will be in there all day long.

Need RB help.
Starting LT versus the Bengals.
Need to choose b/w
Beanie Wells at Det.
Quinton Ganther vs. NYG
Laurence Maroney at Buf.
Brandon 11:28 am on 12/20/2009 Permalink |
Go with Maroney against the worst run defense in the league.
