For those of you in leagues that have their championship in week 17, here are a few quick waiver wire thoughts (since we’re too lazy to put out our full-fledged The Wire this week!) (More …)

Hits & Misses - Week 16: CHAMPIONSHIP TIME!
Brandon
Here are our “Hits” and “Misses” for this week. It’s championship week for most league’s out there, so hopefully these tips can help you bring home the bacon! As usual, please feel free to leave a comment on any of our posts with additional hit/miss questions and we’ll try our hardest to get back to you in a timely fashion. Good luck!

The Wire - Week 16: Championship Week
Brandon
Here are our waiver wire candidates for week 16. As usual, you’ll find players who are either [Startable], a [Stopgap] to get you past a BYE or injury, [Worth a look] and spot on your bench, or [One-week-wonder]s who don’t warrant a roster spot, so you make your roster moves accordingly. You’ll also see the percent owned in parenthesis. With your league championship in sight, I’ve simplified the list a bit this week, as I figure there is a lot less competition for the top waiver wire players this week. If you have any additional questions though, please feel free to ask away and I’ll try to get them before the end of the day so you can finalize your roster as soon as possible. Good luck!

Team of the Week - Week 15: Jerome Harrison.
Brandon
Here is the fantasy football “Team of the Week,” listing the players that scored the most points (using standard scoring) over the course of Sunday’s games. This week you’ll notice a few oddities about the list, the first being the existence of two quarterbacks, both who kicked some serious behind and who couldn’t be left off the list. The second is the existence of Jerome Harrison, who rushed for an insane 286 yards (the third highest single game rushing total of all time!) Anyways, with the Monday Night Football game yet to take place (New York Giants @ Washington Redskins) this list may be a bit premature, but here is your team of the week nonetheless…

Ask the Geeks - Week 15: The Saints Go Marching Down!
Brandon
Another last minute Ask the Geeks this week, but I wanted to get out some Ask the Geek questions before the games started today so people can get closer to bringing home those championship trophies! Remember to leave any other questions you might have as comments on any of our posts and we’ll try to respond if we can.

Hits & Misses - Week 15: Almost Championship Time!
Brandon
Here are our “Hits” and “Misses” for this week. I didn’t have much time over these past few days, so right now all you have to go on are the players names, their opponents and your good faith in the FF geeks. Tonight or tomorrow I’ll try to add some descriptions to explain my picks a bit more. Remember to leave any hit/miss questions you have as a comment on this post (or any other post for that matter) and good luck!

The Wire - Week 15: Slim Pickings
Brandon
Here are our waiver wire candidates for week 15. We’re coming down to crunch-time now, with the playoffs starting/continuing in nearly every league out there at this point, so hopefully you don’t have to rely too much on the players listed here. As usual, good luck to everyone as you try to get one step closer to that league championship!

Team of the Week - Week 14: Brandon Marshall Breaking Records
Brandon
Here is the fantasy football “Team of the Week,” listing the players that scored the most points (using standard scoring) over the course of Sunday’s games. This week’s team is led by the man who shares my name, Denver Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall, who broke the single season record for receptions with 21 in a losing effort to the Colts. Anyways, with the Monday Night Football game yet to take place (Arizona @ San Francisco) this list may be a bit premature, but here is your team of the week nonetheless…

Here are our “Hits” and “Misses” for the upcoming games, listing players you want to make sure are in your lineup, as well as those you might consider shelving for the week (or at least lowering your expectations!) Hopefully a few of these hit and miss suggestions will help you make those tough roster decisions and if they don’t, please feel free to leave a comment with your specific situation. Good luck!

The Wire - Week 14: Who's Starting Vince Young in the Playoffs?
Brandon
Here are our waiver wire candidates for week fourteen. This week we start off with a few quarterbacks who’s play has improved dramatically over the next few weeks. Early in the season, did you ever imagine starting Alex Smith or Vince Young (or Bruce Gradkowski?) in the playoffs? Me neither.

Hits & Misses - Week 13: Win or Go Home
Brandon
Here are our “Hits” and “Misses” for week thirteen, listing players you want to make sure are in your lineup, as well as those you might consider shelving for the week (or at least lowering your expectations!) With the playoffs right around the corner, you most likely need a win badly this week to clinch that first round BYE (or to even get a playoff spot!) Hopefully our list this week can help you get over the hump and into your league’s tournament, where you will surely bring home the bacon because you frequent such an awesome and knowledgeable fantasy football website! Alright, enough tooting of our own horn, let’s get to the hits and misses for this week and GOOD LUCK!

The Wire - Week 13: The Hunt for the Playoffs
Brandon
Here are our waiver wire candidates for week thirteen. With the playoffs rapidly approaching (only one week of the regular season left in my two main leagues,) many teams out there are probably in a “must win” situation this week. Hopefully some of the players below can get you a much needed victory and give you a chance at that championship trophy (or pride, cash, whatever else you get for winning a fantasy football league.) Anyways, let’s get to the waiver wire picks for this week, starting with a few wide receivers that could help your cause… (More …)

Hopefully everyone’s Turkey Day hang-over is gone and all of the Thursday games left your team in prime spots to clinch the playoffs (or a BYE) this week! Here is the last batch of Ask the Geeks for week 12. If you have any last minute questions, feel free to leave them as a comment on one of our posts and hopefully Matt or I (or any of our readers) can get back to you with some advice before game-time. Good luck and may the fantasy football gods be with you!
e-roc asks…
If I win this weekend, I secure a playoff spot and possibly a Bye, so this is pretty huge…
Please pick 2 RB: MJD (@ SF), T.Jones (v. CAR), McCoy (v. WAS).
Please pick 2 WR: SSmithNYG (@ Den), SSmithCAR (@ NYJ), TJHoush (@ StL), Cotchery (v. CAR)
Lastly, D.Bowe is a FA in our league… Would you swap any of my WRs for him? KC finishes Wks 15-17 with CLE, @CIN and @DEN. Thanks!
