Travis Henry owners: Feel free to breathe any time now
This is exactly why early drafts make us so nervous: After Henry limped off the field last night, every one of his fantasy owners went to bed wondering if they were going to have to watch Mike Bell enjoy the automatic 1,000-yard season that comes with playing the position under Shanahan. Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case: it's just a sprain; there's "no significant structural damage." It remains unclear whether he'll miss any regular-season games.
If you have a late 1st-round pick in an upcoming draft and think highly enough of Henry to pick him, it should now be obvious that backup Mike Bell is a must-handcuff (he also got a little dinged up in the game but appears to be fine). Get him a round or two early to be sure, because other owners might be willing to take a shot on him given the instant success he's guaranteed should he get the chance to start. As the type of drafter who prefers to stay away from high-risk 1st-round picks, I plan to avoid him at all costs - there are plenty of other options late in the 1st round. If he falls to the middle of the 2nd round, he's worth a look, but I'd wait to hear whether he'll miss any time first.

The great part about this is that I have Travis Henry in our keeper league. If he didn't qualify for my 12th pick, I might have some concerns...however, now I'll have to worry about drafting 2 good running backs again. Lame.
