Three Potential Shockers for Week 15

After watching David Patten go off and validate my decision to declare him a potential shocker for week 14, I'm going with the theory that three really is a lucky number. Or maybe I'm just lazy and only feel like giving you three shocker picks instead of five, since a good portion of our audience is probably out of contention at this point (we take no responsibility for this. If you win, though, we strongly feel that we deserve at least some of the credit, and a portion of your winnings).

As always, here's a brief explanation of my definition of a fantasy "shocker": A player who comes out of relatively nowhere, has a gigantic, multi-touchdown game, becomes the hottest waiver commodity the following week, and then soon sinks back into the relative obscurity from whence he came. Like I've said before, these are long-shot picks and I don't expect to hit on most of them.

Bryant Johnson, WR, ARI: Picking Johnson a week after he was shut down by corner Marcus Trufant and only managed to catch one of the nine passes thrown his way? Preposterous, right? Wrong. Kurt Warner has a major man-crush on this guy, talks about him all the time, and he's going to be extra motivated to give Johnson a chance to redeem himself against a piss-poor Saints secondary.

Jerious Norwood, RB, ATL: Bobby "Hated Way More in Atlanta than Mike Vick" Petrino didn't give Norwood enough carries to be valuable for fantasy purposes, but who knows what his (presumably) temporary replacement, Emmitt Thomas, will do? Given than Norwood's averaging 6.2 ypc on the season, isn't it about time to give him the damn ball little more damn often and see how good he really is?

Tarvaris Jackson, QB, MIN: With the Bears ranked a shocking 26th against the pass this season, this divisional home matchup on MNF is one of those games where just about anything to be possible. The Vikes are desperate to stay in the wild-card hunt and won't hesitate to go to the air if Peterson struggles (inexplicably) again. If you start two QBs in your league and you're desperate for a fill-in at the QB2 spot, Jackson could surprise this week.
