Shaun Alexander: Still a solid fantasy start this week
Alexander (sprained left wrist) might not get as many touches as he usually would, and the Seahawks most likely won't run any of the new plays they're been working on to pass him the ball instead of fullback Mack Strong, but he's still a better start than any other RB on your team. Here's what coach Holmgren says about it:
"We're being real careful with that," Holmgren said after a light practice in which Alexander clowned around with teammates, while participating fully with the first-team offence. "He feels really good about playing with that thing. He feels better.
"And so they are going to rig something up during the game to allow him to play" Sunday at Arizona, he said.
For us Alexander owners (I've got him in my most important league), it's a letdown when you figure that a) he won't be getting as many touches as he would otherwise and b) they'll most likely take him out if the game becomes a blowout in either direction, but you still have to start him.
