Priest Holmes could play again this season

Hey Larry Johnson owners: didja enjoy that nice game he had in week 6? You did? Well that's nice, but here's something new for you to stress about - Coach Herm Edwards talking about 34-year-old Priest Holmes:

“You’ve got to find a way to get him in the game,” Edwards said. “But we haven’t seen him practice yet. You’ll get a sense of that from how he does in practice. That’s all you can go by. It’s no different than anybody else. You get a feel for when it’s time to get him in a game.”

You've got to get him in the game? Does that sound like a coach with any confidence in his starter? It seems completely improbable, but could Holmes be stealing significant carries from Johnson by fantasy playoff time?

I think Priest has a real shot at getting some fantasy value this year.

Larry didn't really look good this past Sunday - sure he ran for over 100yds in the first half, but how about those 13 yards on 15 carries in the second?

He also fumbled at the goal line, caused a penalty for his team, couldn't pass protect at all...

I think Larry Johnson owners should be really worried right now.

Well, the Chiefs just traded their main backup in Michael Bennett, so they can't be to rushed to get LJ off the field. They're paying him the big bucks, so expect to see him on the field for 97% of the running plays this year.

Playoff leagues: Keeping the fantasy football season alive to the bitter end:
