Madden 2008 In Stores Today
I just thought it should be pointed out that Madden 2008 hits stores today, so make sure to go out and get yourself a copy so you can start building your fantasy teams and seeing how they would actually perform on a team. My first question though is if Mike Vick will be the starting QB for the Falcons? If he is, will an XBox Live update remove him from the game if he's suspended? Also, how nasty did they make Randy Moss for my Patriots? I guess we'll have to wait a couple more hours until I have it in my Xbox 360 to find out.

In interesting news, I just read this in an article about the game in Chris Littmann's SportingBlog (SportingNews):
"...Michael Vick still is the No. 1 QB for the Falcons, but in an interview on Maxim Radio, Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb...said if and when an official move is made by the NFL regarding Vick, a roster update would be issued, removing Vick from the game."

Someone will need to fill me in on whether they fixed the defense this year or not. The last version I played was 2006, and I hated that version as much as every one since it was on SNES because you only have fun on offense.

I just got it yesterday, I'll give you guys an update when I get some more time to play it. My initial reaction is that it is a pretty big improvement over last year's version, but I'm going to reserve judgement for the time being. Some of the new features do seem pretty cool though, and the defense does seem to play significantly better than last year's "wet paper bag" version.
