Just a reminder, BYE weeks are starting this week, so keep an eye out for any waiver wire pick-ups you plan to make who play for these teams: Arizona, Atlanta, Carolina, Philadelphia, as they won’t be available for your team this weekend.

Quick question: Antonio Bryant: Dump him and move on? Or hold on and hope? Such a downer so far from last year – just can’t get healthy, and I think once he’s back, he’ll have a 2nd string O lineman throwing the ball to him. I need a bench spot to make a pickup, and he’s the only one I THINK I can part with.

Who do you plan to dump him for? Bryant was one of my keepers in a league I’m in and I’m quite disappointed with him so far as well. However, I’m keeping him around as our bench is deep enough to warrant it. He should be back and producing soon, but as you mention the quarterback position is pretty bad in Tampa Bay. Maybe Jeff Garcia will re-sign with the Buc’s now that Philly cut him and they can rekindle the connection they had last year, but until that happens, it’s probably safe to drop him if you’re replacing him with someone who can put up some decent numbers from week to week.

Thoughts on this trade (espn standard scoring league) — I would trade Matt Forte + Jay Cutler (P Manning is my starting QB) for Cedric Benson + Reggie Wayne
I’m a little concerned with Forte for obvious reasons and I feel like if he doesnt have a decent game this weekend I wont be able to get any value for him at all. That being said the Colts look great and a Manning + Wayne combo could prove deadly and I would probably start Benson and Wayne every week instead of letting Cutler just sit on my bench getting points.

That would be a pretty big blockbuster deal there, but what other running backs and wide receivers do you currently have? I’m leaning towards recommending you make the trade, as I think your team will most likely benefit a lot more from having Reggie Wayne at the WR position than you’ll lose with Benson at RB (heck, you might even get MORE points if things keep going like they have been!)

We start 1qb/2rb/1flex/2wr/1te/1k/1def — 12 teams
RB: McFadden/Bradshaw/Caddy
WR: Roy Williams/Royal (about to put him on waivers)/D Henderson/
McFadden has been okay but Royal/Williams havent been what I thought they would be.
So I definitely need some help at RB and WR — I also have Gates and Celek and I’m leaning towards trading gates for a decent RB2 or WR2

I think I would make the trade, as you improve drastically at WR, while your RB position only weakens slightly (according to preseason rankings at least.) Can you play your tight end in the Flex spot? If so, then Gates and Celek can both start. Otherwise, trading one of them to further improve is not a bad idea.

is it bad or good to have a player active if they have a bye week or would it be better to have someone else active that will be playing that week
