If Vick’s handlers thought that putting him on 60 Minutes was going to improve their client’s public image, I think they’re in for a shock. To me, Vick came across as rehearsed and far more remorseful about what he’d done to his career than to the dogs he brutalized. He’s lucky that 60 Minutes allowed CBS Sports’ James Brown to conduct the interview rather than one of the regulars. Brown was OK, but he let Vick get away with lines like, “I don’t know how many times I gotta say it… it was wrong,” as if everyone just needs to get off his back already, jeez! Morley Safer wouldn’t let that shit fly.
