I agree with Squish on this one. There are very few match-ups now where you would start Flacco over Rivers. Rivers' upside is just too high with the weapons he has at his disposal.

I have to disagree with Squish here. If DeAngelo Williams is out, Stewart makes a great play against the Falcons. Minus his last game (against a tough Saints defense), he was running the ball pretty well and the last time he played the Falcons, he had a 7.2 ypc average on nine carries. I'd go with Stewart (IF DeAngelo Williams is out that is :-))

I like Rivers this week better than Flacco despite the matchup differences. All my most accurate sources have Rivers slightly ahead as well. The going consensus is that Baltimore won't have to pass much against the Browns and because of that the great passing game matchup is more or less superficial. Rivers on the other hand will likely have to pass often in the competitive game he's playing in and thus should accrue more fantasy points.

Hey Brandon,
I've been waffling back and forth (just call me Favre) about which QB to start. I've got Flacco with a great matchup or the always consistent Rivers with a not so great matchup against Philly. What do you think?

If Williams is out I think Mendenthal is the better option. Carolina is facing a reasonable defense and Stewart really hasn't looked good all season plus he's been on the injury list for a majority of it. Mendenthal is clearly now the primary carrier in PIT and they'll use him plenty against a Cincinatti team who's DL is still hurting from the loss of Odom. Look for Pittsburgh's OL to establish themselves early and often. Even if Mendenthal doesn't get a big load of carries, he'll do plenty with what he does get. I think you can count on at least a couple long runs by him and like a TD or two.

Hah, Squish called me out I guess...and he's right. Although Sims-Walker's good games this season have all come at the expense of less-than-spectacular defenses, I can't recommend you bench him for the likes of Steve Breaston. I'm not necessarily a "never bench your start player" kind of guy, but in this case, I wouldn't bench your star guy. :-)

Thanks squish. Yea, I mean the cardinals usually score well against seatle and breaston pulled in 17 points in my ppr league last time. But i got this nagging feeling that's not going to happen again. I think seatle's def is gonna step up a bit this week.

But man, the only time I saw Revis eff up was his booboo against ted ginn in miami's Jet's first match. Otherwise he's shut down every receiver, and I doubt MSW is gonna be amy dif. So its a tough call.

I can answer the question for everyone on this board I think. Brandon and Mike will definitely say go with MSW despite his poor matchup. I am more or less in agreement with them. But, I will go out on a limb and say that if Boldin is out this week, Breaston should be the better play this week for sure.
