About Us

Brandon and Matt are arguably the two biggest fantasy geeks among a crew of nearly-as-obsessed individuals, all of whom got to know each other in Phi Kappa Tau at Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently, the same core group of six or seven fanatical nerds are in three PKT-branded fantasy football leagues: The long-running "League of Champions," a keeper league started by Matt in 2006, and the "B-league," which exists for the purpose of recruiting new potential addicts to the dark side.

Brandon devoted part of his life to fantasy sports back in 2002 and since then has been a lot less productive in "real-life" activities. While he has won the occasional league here and there, he decided it was time to turn his addiction into something somewhat productive (and at the same time try to make other people that much more un-productive). Brandon's focus here at ffgeekblog.com is on no-nonsense fantasy football advice (start/sit, waiver wire, all that good stuff).

Matt's pretty much hopelessly obsessed with fantasy football, especially since he emerged victorious from the League of Champions in 2006. A web developer by trade, his strategy is to harness various automated online methods of retrieving information about fantasy players in order to keep himself as informed as possible. Matt's posts here tend to focus on the technological side of fantasy football, discussing the websites and online tools that can help you improve your team, as well as new innovations in the world of fantasy football that are simply cool.
